Spring is in full force, and it has brought the beauty of new growth. All that has been lying dormant is now full of beauty and promise. Things have been fast-paced, but we have been able to enjoy time outside.
JCβs has been able to hold onto her last transfusion for 6 weeks! This is such a blessing and allows her body to use up and get rid of the extra iron in her organs. We are so grateful for this good report.
Because she has been able to hold off on needing a transfusion, her iron number is able to continue to reduce. She also has remained relatively healthy and free of viruses and colds which also has contributed to this good report. We are excited to see these blessings have a positive impact. We will continue to wait the 6-12 months for transplant reevaluation.
Each good day, fills us with hope that these 6-12 months will not be so hard to bear. They are also a reminder of Godβs faithfulness to see us through, so we take each good day as a gift to cherish. We have received quite a few cards with prayers and reminders; thank you to each of you who continue to remember JC and lift our family up in prayer. We are so very thankful for you!
We continue to seek God for counsel, wisdom, and healing of soul and body. Even on the good days, this journey is hard for a little girl to bear. It is full of appointments, pokes, restrictions, and medications. Please pray for JC specifically that God will uphold her, meet her needs, reduce her anxiety and bring comfort.

JC is infatuated with anything pink, purple, frilly, unicorn, pony, and rainbows. If it looks over the top girlie, it is right up her alley. If you havenβt guessed yet, we have a plethora of rainbows in our home. I love that she loves rainbows. They are such a beautiful phenomenon in nature, and they are a reminder of hope.
Rainbows are a separation of light. The ray of white light separates into beautiful colors of red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, and violet. I like to think we too are an array of combinations intricately designed. The beautiful part is that we like light are made up of beautiful colors, and God sees all the potential in us. Through Jesus, we can become the fullness of what God has designed and imagined for us; it takes a desire and discipline to follow the light, but in doing so, I believe we find all we have truly desired from the beginning. Rainbows like people are full of hope and promise.
